It's blueberry season in Connecticut now. I don't think I knew, before moving back here as an adult, that Connecticut had a blueberry season. Or an anything season, for that matter. Now I've become slightly obsessed with looking at things like Connecticut Grown and Edible Nutmeg. I can't claim to do all that stuff, with the local food and the CSAs and the cooking. I'd like to. I aspire to, someday, when I'm organized. For now I mostly just like to look at the pictures. But occasionally, like when there's a holiday or copious amounts of fruit involved, I get a little motivated.
So yesterday when I was driving past the crazy-expensive but so-nice-you-want-to-buy-everything-they-sell-anyway store at Bishop's Orchards in Guilford, I stopped and got these blueberries.
