Not the one with Hezbollah. And not the one in New Hampshire. Yes, there's a Lebanon, Connecticut. It's in New London County, though it looks - to me, anyway - more like a bit of Tolland County that fell off. Which is to say, it's really rural. Hence that...thing up there. I guess it's a water tower, but I don't think I've ever seen one like that. I guess you can take the girl out of New York, but she'll never quite get used to water towers being anywhere other than rooftops.
There's not much in Lebanon other than lots of Revolutionary War sites (which is what I was there to research.) But my friend and I had an exciting little trip up there. She swallowed a fly, and I got a stupid back-of-the-neck tan. Oh, and driving there we nearly got killed by a guy who really didn't know how to drive his really big truck. That wasn't in Lebanon, though, that was in Bozrah. Heh.
