Mindless In Ledyard

Finally, I made it back to the Ledyard Up-Down Sawmill. Or, technically, to the park where the Sawmill is.

The mill is open for demonstrations on certain days, but I went when it was closed and I hoped the park would be empty. (It was.) I was content to see millstones in a purely decorative function instead of trying to figure out how this works.

To walk across a pretty little bridge...

To lean over and watch the pretty little waterfall...that was about all my mind was willing to comprehend at the moment.

And the mill building, which dates from the 1870s, provided the perfect atmosphere for a lazy unthinking day of just walking around in the (unnaturally warm) November air.

So I could ponder the truly important things in this life, like the fact that I really don't like my hair.
