Follow Your Arrow

I used to think of weathervanes almost as natural features, magical tin animals that had somehow, hundreds of years ago, sprung fully grown from the New England houses they adorn. But of course, they come from stores. And they are a bit less charming there, on display all together, waiting to be purchased.

This brief meditation on weathervanes brought to you by my happening to drive past a store full of them while the Kacey Musgraves song Follow Your Arrow was playing.
